Mission
The Ice Skating Academy serves to provide people of all ages with an affordable and positive ice skating experience. Quality instruction from tiny tots to adults in all disciplines of ice skating works to promote physical health, self-esteem, and sportsmanship.
Our Philosophy
We believe in programs where skating is about the skater. We will work to learn, grow, build confidence, support each other, and reach a higher level both physically and mentally.
The Ice Skating Academy offers a place where hard work, respect, and achieving goals, whether small or large, is the focus.
In The Beginning...
THE ISA was established in 2011 by Jill Pignatiello and Gillian Bannon. We wanted to create a positive experience for people no matter their financial background, they would be able to explore the sport we love! Lessons began on public ice and as we grew, we were able to provide the community their own ice to learn from the ISA staff. With the help of grants, we were able to provide FREE skate rentals with lessons. Our goal has always been to keep skating affordable and offer community events to benefit the surrounding towns.
